ABOUT
PSP Sports And More is excited to announce year two of this class that began September 2015. If you have junior high or high school age students and want to fulfill the second year of foreign language in high school, enroll in this course. We are blessed to have our Spanish speaking instructors teaching this class!
This class will provide one year of high school foreign language credit but it will be the responsibility of the student’s parents to monitor, screen, and grade all work done for this course.
Come join us and see how learning Spanish can be a ministry. Students will learn how to become humble learners of the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. They will learn how to interact and relate to people that they would not normally interact with due to language and culture barriers. The student’s goal will be to interact with Spanish speakers to show them the love of Christ through their actions, attitudes and words.
This is a junior high through high school level course, however any age may take this class. This will be a year long (2 semester) class that will provide one year of high school foreign language credit. Junior high students can count this course for high school credits. We will be utilizing the BJU Press Spanish 2, 2nd Edition textbook.
CLASSES/AGE GROUPS
We are offering this class for junior high and high school age/capable students (7th-12th grade), however all ages are welcome. This class gives the student the equivalent of one year high school language course. Junior high students can count this for high school credits.

TEXTBOOK
Parents are responsible for purchasing their own textbook. We have, through much research, determined to use the BJU Press Spanish 2, 2nd Edition textbook. The reason for this choice is that we wanted the course to be conversational in nature but also incorporate our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Spanish 2 curriculum is traditional in structure and organization but also emphasizes missions and teaches Bible verses and vocabulary necessary for witnessing and ministering to Spanish speakers.
Our instructors have determined that students will only need the textbook to participate in this course. You have several options:
- Purchase a USED textbook (approx. $35) & teacher’s manual (approx. $25), online at Amazon, Ebay, etc.
- Purchase a USED teacher’s manual (approx. $25) ONLY. The teacher’s manual has the text book with the answers on a side bar or bottom of the page.
- Purchase new from BJU Press, Amazon, Ebay, etc. On the BJU Press website you will notice that they list numerous products in the Spanish Subject Kit for $246.25. We are only asking you to purchase the textbook (approx. $52) and/or teacher’s manual (approx. $64).
After talking with our teachers we have determined that only the textbook and/or teacher’s manual are necessary for this course.
